In the immediate aftermath of the Jan-2010 earthquake in Haiti, The EKTA Foundation funded the implementation cost of Inveneo’s satellite-based Wi-Fi Broadband Network for NetHope in Port-au-Prince that brought real-time communication to NGOs, getting aid where it was needed most and saving innumerable lives.

With our ICT implementation partner, Inveneo, we now have a shared commitment – with an elite group of purposeful organizations – to expand this low-cost broadband access network country-wide. Internet access across the country will allow Haitians to see the world in a new light and, equally importantly, enable the world to better understand Haiti and its people.
